Morris Minors Pre-school was established in September 1998 by Delia Morris. Delia has a Bachelor of Philosophy degree in Early Childhood Studies and an Early Years Professional Status post-graduate qualification. Delia is supported by her husband Michael, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree and Certificate in Education.

Morris Minors Pre-school is very fortunate to have dedicated, caring and qualified staff who are there to encourage and support the children. Delia plays an active role in teaching the children at Morris Minors together with the support of her two deputy managers, Wendy Partlett and Angela Wakefield. Both deputies have a Diploma in Pre-school Practice Level 3. Angela is our Special Educational Needs co-ordinator (SENCO) and Wendy is our training co-ordinator.

There are eleven staff members including Delia at Morris Minors Pre-school, all have been police checked and regularly attend First Aid and Safeguarding Children courses as required by Ofsted. We have an ongoing training policy for staff to ensure they are qualified and up to date with the latest developments in child care education. We have a high adult to child ratio that is essential in providing good quality pre-school care and education.

All the staff are parents themselves and have valuable experience in early years education. Over 80% of the staff at Morris Minors hold formal Early Years' qualifications at level 2 or above. Three members of staff are currently studying for a level 3 qualification in Children's Care, Learning and Development.
